Celebration

As promised, here are some of the amazing banners from Sundays procession in London, celebrating 100 years of Women having the vote. It was such an amazing day - truly empowering and so wonderful to be part of such a massive art work. The atmosphere of togetherness and kindness was so touching, and this is all through the act of creating together. I feel so privileged and thankful to have been part of this. All the banners were so different. There were so many colours and sounds that it was hard to take it all in! Some banners were more controversial or shocking than others. What I love the most is the way that these women were brave enough to say what they believe needs being said, and the use of cloth and colour gave these women a voice, and to use it proudly. I felt really proud to be a part of this and felt like some of these women were so brave for being so bold!

Diseases & Rainbows

In these very strange times, there is so much in the world to be anxious and sad about. It has been so heartwarming to see so much joyful and colourful artwork out on my daily walk. Here are just a few of my favourites that have been brightening up my days. More community spirit and finding joy in creativity could be some good that comes from Covid-19. (Sorry to anyone who has been freaked out by me standing around being intrigued by their windows!) Also, the road workers have put this outside the entrance of the hospital, which I can see from my window. What a wonderful message for all the amazing staff heading into work. Stay well.
